After having my dd's 16th birthday yesterday and all the running around associated with it I finally have a day to work on stamping and blogging!
I mentioned in the previous post that Laura & I were going to issue a challenge to use of some of those $1.00 notebooks that we all grab at Michael's, Joanne's and the $1.00 stores. We'll be running this challenge for a week, so you have some time to play! At the bottom of this post is a Mr. Linky widget to add your project link to the the challenge so you'll be entered to win a package of goodies from Paper Addiction!
This notebook has rusty orange colored lines and flowers printed on the inside pages, so I wanted to use paper that coordinated. I also combined this with this week's sketch challenge on SCS. The paper used was from the new Pink Paislee line called "Captivating". You can buy these papers individually or in a bundle . The pink paislee line is currently 25% off until this weekend.
The border, flourish and flowers on this project are from a Fancy Pants stamp set that I bought about a year ago. Pollen dust maybe? I stamped the flowers on scraps from the Pink Paislee paper, then used one of the fabulous corduroy brads from the decorative brad pack for the largest flower's center. I also used a little of the Pixie Stix glitter in Orange Crush for the small heart at the bottom. These little test tubes of glitter are great.... easy to store and fun & funky colors as well as some great basics. Plus they are only $1.49 right now (reg. $1.99). The orange is one of my personal favorites... it's my favorite color!
CHALLENGE INFO:
So if you're ready to play along with this challenge and have some notebooks to alter then post a link to your project here:
We'll be choosing a random winner in about a week. The winner will recieve an assortment of stamps, paper, and embellishments from Paper Addiction. Thanks for reading and playing along with the challenge.

All of your notebooks are lovely, I've added some of mine.
What a great challenge, Michelle! I've created a recipe book with a Halloween theme.
I love the idea of matching the cover to the inside pages - now to find a book with a fancy middle ;)

PS - thanks for lighting the fire under my altering muse - I am always buying alterables & then hoarding them!
