Created for today's Way To Use It challenge on SCS which was to use pearls. I have lots of pearly options in my stash and tried to put most of them on this card!I used paper from October Afternoon called County Library. It is a double sided paper and I used both the dotted side and the strips on the opposite side for the accents. This paper is on sale this week too!! I paired the paper with black, vanilla (PTI) and Aqua Mist (PTI) cardstock.
The flower was made with SU Pick a Petal. I stamped the petals on vanilla cardstock, painted it was a champagne color pearlescent watercolor paint, then embossed it with swiss dots cuttlebug folder. The flower center was made with a scrap of the dp and highlighted with ranger liquid pearls. The flower was placed on a spellbinder matte of various sized ovals.
When you untie the bow it opens up to show the entire 4.25" x 11" inside. I used the center panel for my Happy Birthday sentiment.
To make this card start with a 4.25 x 11" sheet of cardstock. Score at 2" and 5.5" along the long side then fold. I really like this style because it utilizes the entire length of the card.
You still have time to enter my blog candy giveaway located in THIS POST. There is also information on the American Art Stamps DESIGN TEAM call! I'll be making a decision this weekend, so there is still time to apply. Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of my accordian card.
