More American Art Stamps

I wanted to post a couple more samples of American Art Stamps to show the versatility in their stamp lines. The first image is from Karen Stolper's line and is called BBQ Bob - I just couldn't resist him! It's the perfect stamp for a man's card... whether it be birthday, Father's Day, or just an anytime card (well... most likely a Summer anytime card!). I wanted to use the Barbeque theme to make a card that could be used as an invitation to a spring/summer party - so I used Rub Ons from Making Memories to write BBQ on the top. I accented it with an arrow from a package of Ranger Grunge Board (this stuff is awesome) that was inked with Ballet Blue. The main image was colored with copics, and the "Happy Summer" sentiment came from Gina K's Just Be Claws set.

I wanted the second card to be a sweet, girly card to offset the macho BBQ card. I used the Love Flowers stamp also from Karen Stolper for this one. The image was stamped on Spring Green with Versamark, then embossed with black ep. I colored the flowers with Prismas. I combined the Spring Green with Berry Sorbet (both from papertreyink.com) and added black for a little drama. The scalloped edge was done with a pinking blade on my rotary cutter.

I've been have a great time going through the blogs and galleries from the American Art Stamps design team call. I'm still taking submissions (probably until Sunday), so if you would like a chance to serve on the AASDT then check out my previous post for all the details.

Let me know what you think of these cards... which one is your favorite?

I love them both for different reasons! The first one for all the little details. The second one for the buttons (I always have such a hard time with those!). TFS!

I love them both, but the pink is my favorite (I'm biased, since its my favorite color).

What are you using to embed the digital watermark in your photos? I really need to start doing this.

I want it to be BBQ Bob - but the girl in me just screams out for the pink flower card! I think it's the combo of pink and black with the white polka dots...

Pick a favorite, no way! They are both too cute and for very different purposes! I love the tall lanky look of Bob, but the LOVE stamp is really sweet. Nope, no favorite picking here, but I am glad you introduced me to this brand of stamps. I really like how tall and lanky they are! Wait, maybe I'm not so glad you introduced me. ; )

Hi Michelle!

It's hard to choose!! They both have such a different feel. I love the BBQ one as it's so great for many occasions for a man. I love the exaggerated bbqing man! The beer in his hand and the boots are all just so funny. I love the color pairings that you chose for this card too!!

I love the colors in the second one as well as the white stitching. So fun and SO springy!

Very fun and very pretty!

Thanks for sharing!!

I love the second card the best! I went to my LSS today looking for that stamp and they didn't have it yet, but they had the new angels. So pretty!

I like the BBQ one for 2 reasons: 1-guy cards are harder to find and 2-I LOVE those long-legged figures!!!

I like both cards, but really like the image on the first card.

I have some Karen Stolper & Emerson Quillin stamps, but have been unsure how to use them. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
