I really have quite a stash of Bordering Blue saved up... it's one of those colors that I hardly every use! Since todays challenge on SCS allowed us to use only soft subtles or rich regals, it gave me the perfect opportunity to use up some of the bordering blue. The card I made for the challenge was the first one. I didn't post it though because I watercolored the flowers and I didn't fully read the challenge and realized that I couldn't use additional techniques. I then made the second card. Here are the details:
-
CARD #1 - Cool Blooms - I stamped the doodle this flower on white with black stazon. I watercolred the flowers using ballet blue and bordering blue watercolor crayons. I punched a word window and designed a tab to fit inside - the tag says Happy Birthday with the green grass card greetings stamp . The flower at the bottom is decorated with lots of silver stickles and is popped up on a dimensional. The whole thing is matted on bordering blue.
-
CARD #2 - This is the card I ended up posting for today's challenge. I stamped French Flair with black ink, then carefully desinged the rest of the card so I could hide the birds... I really wish the birds weren't on this background!! I stamped one of the Doodle This flowers on bordering blue, then distressed the edge with eggplant, and added white gel pen doodles. The center is from "you make me happy" set. I added the card greeting sentiment from Green Grass stamps.

The winner of yesterday's RAK was Kheila - But I don't have your email address!! Please email me at blog@clothingcorner.com with your address so I can send you a RAK.

I gotta say I've had so much fun the past 2 days reading which posted card was a favorite and why. I'm gonna try to keep posting more that one card each day and would love everyone to picking which one is their favorite!

Absolutely love these cards! They came out great!
I love these! Amazing how the same stamp can be used and look so different, even in the same hues.
I love the watercoloring on #1, but both cards are very nice. I love all your cards and check in every day.
You know, I really like #2 better! They are both beautiful, but #2, i like the eggplant on the flower--just a little touch and it is great!
Both are very pretty. I love how Blue makes me feel {Calm} so it's hard to pick ONE Fave. I would say the layout of card 2 is calling out to me ... Yup, card #2 it is.
Awesome #1
both of the cards are amazing. I totally agree with you on the french flair stamp the bird is actually why I havent bought that stamp yet. I love #2. Very elegant looking. HMMM....maybe I will get that stamp after all!
Oh wow, I love #2!! It's so stunning with the black and white contrast against that tone of blue. It looks very classy. I need to star this post on my Google Reader lab so I can find it again amongst my 100 subscribed blogs! LOL!
I just recently discovered that I like bordering blue. Just love both os these, but #2 is my favorite. I love the eggplant with the blue.
Beautiful cards. I especially like that first one. I forget to use my Word Window punch that way. Thanks for the inspiration.
They are both so great...I love how your cards are so 3-D. The first is my favorite. Good luck with the challenge!
