Accordian Album

I made this a few weeks ago with photos taken in my daughters birthday. This was put together using the accordian album kit from SU! in the red/carmel combo. I layered stella ruby papers on most of the pages, then printed out the pictures in sepia.

Unfortunately it's hard to get a good picture of the entire album, but it turned out really nice. I waited to post it because I mailed to it my mom a few weeks ago as a surprise and I didn't want her to see it on here first. Well.... she cried when she got it.... but that just meant she liked it!!

This is about as close to scrapbooking as I can get. I really have tried to sit down and do a 12x12 or 6x6 layout and just feel uninspired. I think I need to start thinking about scrapbooking as a card with pictures on it and I'd do better!

Very cute! Love the red.

Like you, I can't get into scrapbooking. It just like it's such a big space. And what am I going to stick on there for pictures...there's only so many you can take of dogs and cats, lol.

I know what you mean about scrapbooking. I really would like to do it- in fact that's the reason I started making cards. Start out with the A2, then make a few 5x5 square cards. before you know it I can make a 6x6 page. Problem is, now that I'm hooked on cardmaking, I havent made the time to try and scrapbook.

What an absolutely beautiful book. I love the colors, and the photos in sepia are perfect. I have one of these kits and now need to find a reason to use it!!

Love the work -- and this is scrapbooking at its best! Mini albums ROCK because YOU call the shots. I think it is semantics, because doing layouts and doing complete projects like this can't really be compared, yet they are definitely both scrapbooking.

What a great rememberance for you and your daughter of her birthday!

My goodness Michelle! This is a wonderful gift. I'm sure is a treasure. I found your blog site through Debbie Olson's site! Wow!! is all I can say about all of the beautiful cards you have shared on your site. Stunning one and all. I looked at all your cards back to your 2006 postings, I'm still just shaking my head. So glad I have subscribed to your blog. I don't want to miss one card. Blessing to you...Terri

I love how you brought out the ruby in Stella Ruby! This is a wonderful piece that your mom will probably carry around and show to everyone. She must be proud of both her grandaughter and her daughter!
