Floral Inspiration

I made this card for the Clean & Simple Challenge on Splitcoaststampers (CAS11) which was to use kids bedding from JC Penney's as the inspiration for the card. I used the Megan bedding set as my inspiration because I loved the right flowers on this cold, rainy spring day.

The first card was a little more clean and simple with the layout. I stamped the flowers with pigment ink from Colorbox. I love how rich & crisp this ink comes out. Of course it's a bit of a pain because it is so slow to dry, so I make sure I heat set it after every color change so I don't smudge. This layout was a little simple me so I felt the urge to mix it up a bit after I took the above photo.

My updated card shows the main image offset and tilted to add interest. I also added ribbon, tabs with rhinestone brads and a few more stamped flowers.

Which card is your favorite?

I like the second one best, both are great but the second one just pops and I love anything with ribbon. :-) The colors are so bright and pretty.

What a great job on the challenge! I love those bold, bright colors against the white. My favorite is the second one. I'm really not into CAS cards.

I love them both - but after scrolling back & forth a dozen times or so I'll pick #1. I've been drawn to more CAS lately :)
