Improvement?

Each month the past and present Dirty Girls from SCS partipate in a challenge. This month's challenge was a ton of fun..... to case one of your first cards uploaded to SCS. The card below is my very first upload, done on April 1, 2006.

For this card I used the Farmyard jumbo wheel. I remember when I was all into wheels and still have a whole box full of them that I had to dig out in order to find these images to reproduce the card. A couple of things that make me giggle about this card..... what's up with my single startshaped brad? It looks kinda lonley by itself in the middle of that wide open space. The wool yarn with the tricky little knots.... what was I thinking? I did try to get a little fancy with my white gel pen stitching and the distressing though :)

Here is my "remake" of the card. For the challenge we could change three things... I added designer paper, changed the yarn for ribbon and added some extra brads. The layout is basically the same with slight changes such as the spellbinder scallops. I didn't want to print the sentiment on the computer, so I stamped the Happy birthday part and added stickers for the "To Ewe". I also added those super -cool corduroy brads from Pink Paislee.
If you'd like to see some of the other Dirty Girl remakes then take a peek at the SCS gallery. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

Have to say I like the level of vibrance much better in your updated card. I really like your style michelle. Your cards always seem to catch my eye with the circles and squares and the dots and dashes.
I always look forward to the new post.
