I made this card for the Impression Obsession design team challenge "Friendship". I messed up a bit though because I had flowers in my head as the challenge and was bound and determined to get this flower card to work out right! And of course now that it's late and past my bedtime I don't have time to change it around so I'll be adding another FRIENDSHIP card to this post tomorrow morning.
The card above is my second chance at the challenge with the correct theme this time! Phew.... it took awhile to get this one to work because I couldn't decide on a patterned paper to use. I swear I cut about 10 different papers and discarded them all before I finally came up with this color and paper combo. It was completely inspired by the flower sticker from K&Company.
You can see on the closeup that there is a pearly finish to the cupcakes and the pearl edge to the cake plate. I used a cool new product called "Smooch" for this... it comes in a nailpolish bottle and has a fine point applicator so it's easy to control. It is a pearlescent, metallic paint that comes in a variety of colors (see Ritz Camera website for all colors... for some reason I couldn't find them on the clearsnap site).
