Marina's Paper Doll Frame

When Kim from MFT first showed me these cute little paper doll stamps I just fell in love with them! I'm a huge paper piecing fan and paper doll clothing designer from WAY back... so this is the perfect set for me to play with! I've been slowly making some outfits as I come across pretty scraps of paper on my desk - most of these were made with Basic Grey paper from the 6x6 pads.
I bought a bunch of these unfinished postcard frames from Ikea - you never know when you'll need to decorate a frame for a gift!! I also keep pieces of sheet metal stored behind my studio door so I can turn a frame into a magnetic board like this one. I removed the glass and measured the metal to fit the opening. Then I covered the front of the frame with 2" strips of Basic Grey paper from the Urban Prarie collection. The metallic chipboard letters are from Chatterbox.

The paper doll outfits are embossed with clear embossing powder 2x. If you have UTEE then you'll probably only have to embosss once, but I wanted them a little sturdier than one coat of clear ep. I used a roll of magnetic strips cut into small pieces to hold the clothes on the board. The doll is glued down.

My daughter just loved this!!! I actually had to go sneak it out of her room so I could take a picture. Let me know what you think!

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are THREE new sets being released including a TOTE-ally awesome Who's that Girl set!
