Hot Wax

I just received a new product to play with from Kandi Corp - it's called Hot Wax Art Stylus. I gotta admit I was a bit at a loss at first on what to do with it!! I've used hot wax before to make Ukranian Easter Eggs (which I also plan to do with this), but I haven't used it on paper before.
for this card I used black beeswax and the calligraphy tip to draw the stems, leaves and dots on the main panel of the card. The was has a texture to it, so it's not flat on the paper like ink would be. It almost looks embossed, but not shiny. I colored the leaves with copic markers, and they worked fine with the wax - the black pigment did not run or smear even when I colored right on top. The made random sized dots along the edges of the layer and under the leaves and stems, then colored the flower centers in with wax as well.

What do you think?

I think it's very cool! I'd like to know what else can be done with it. Look's like a fun product. But if drawing skills are neede, then that counts me out. I'm a terrible artist. My stick people look anemic! Cathy

I like it and would like to try it out someday myself. Sounds like it might be something that requires practice but oh the possibilites. Is there a clear wax too so that you could coat something already colored?

Great card and I like the idea but how does it work? Do you have to heat it or does it work just like a pen?
