Gina K Preview Day 1

The stamps shown here are from a brand new release by Gina K called "Flowers for Daisy" There is a story about this set that I'm sure will be shared by the illustrator (Asela) closer to the release party. I tried to keep the first card fairly simple. I stamped the images with black ink and colored them with the lightest colors of blue and green copics in my collection. The flower centers have irridescent ice for a little added sparkle.

I stamped the sentiment panel along all sides with the folliage stamp from this set leaving the center clear for a sentiment. The ribbon along the top and side was an afterthought... I just couldn't leave it bare!!!

The second card was made with a scalloped circle base and layered up from there. I colored the image with a combination of copic markers and colored pencils. While at CHA we stopped by the Copic booth to watch Colorin' Kate do some of her fantastic work and give us a quick tutorial on combining these 2 mediums. She is just amazing!!
The new releases will be available on July 24. Don't forget to check out Gina K's blog for more details and a chance to win this set.

Thanks for looking! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for more CHA info and more new releases.

Oh, wow, Michelle, I really love the round card! I don't do very much round stuff, and I don't use yellow hardly ever, but this looks great!!!
