Over the weekend I went to a Shoebox Swap in Western NY that was hosted by Lodichick (Tracy) and Toy (Holly)and came home with some really cool door prizes and gifts! Rubbernecker Stamps was extremely generous and donated 3 unmounted stamps for each person attending the swap. Both of these cards feature main images from Rubbernecker. We also received paper from Prism paper in a raspberry pink, medium blue and olive green. Once my friend Arin & I got back to the hotel room we wanted to use all our free merchandise for late night card making!
I stamped the image on the first card directly to a sheet of paper from Basic Grey paper and colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment was found at the local stamp store - isn't it wonderful?? The ribbon and dew drops were a gift from Tracy.
The main image on the second card was also colored with Copic markers. It was really hard to get the girl's dress to match the raspberry color of the cardstock, but I kept blending pinks and purples until I got the right shade. I love the way you can go over and over an area with Copics until you get it right! I used a zig zag stamp from Lizzie Anne for the faux stitching. The sentiment was also a door prize from Rosies Roadshow stamps.
The swap was so much fun to attend. I highly recommend checking out the Get It Together forum on Splitcoaststampers to see if there is a swap planned nearby. It's a great way to meet other stampers and have a fun afternoon.
Don't forget about the May ATC swap. The theme for this month is ANIMALS - you can use any animal, bird, bug or reptile. If you are interested in particpating them email me at blog@clothingcorner.com. The swap will be due on May 15. Email me for more details.

Wow, both of these are wonderful. I love the colours in the top card and the image in the bottom. Joan
Just love the colors in the first card, like the stamping on the basic grey paper. Your coloring on the second is so pretty and love all the faux stitching, looks so real!
Both fabulous!!! The first one is my fave - that stamps is so great and I adore those words too.
I still haven't received my April ATC's yet are they on the way soon? Been so hectic here I am bummed but won't be able to participate in the May swap - hopefully next time though!
