I made these 2 cards for the monthly gallery on Embellish-Online. Humor was the theme for this month - and I think the saying "What's the word, bird" is pretty funny... ever since I bought the stamp set from Inkadinkado that has that sentiment I've been saying it to my daughter... since she's 15 she doesn't find it nearly as funny as I do!
I paired it up with a new stamp I just got from American Art Stamp. This is such a cool image to color in with copics or pencils. I used Copics on this one and used the colors of the Basic Grey paper as color inspiration. The word "Bird" was done with Making Memories Rub ons - and the big question mark is a sticker. I added lots of white dots along the edges - I love the way just just POP!
The second card was also made with paper from the Basic Grey Obscure Pad - I love that the circles look like records... remember what those are?? I guess they also look like cd's. The crab is from Gina K's "Just Be Claws" set... I think he is the cutest looking crab with those big round eyes! I colored him with copics and shaded the background with a sponge.
The punched the black strips with the word window punch and added rhinestone brads from making memories. I actually bought out the supply of these at Embellish Online, but there are a few more packs of pastel and bright square ones let - it's a pretty good buy for $3.99! I may go and buy the rest of those as well!
Thanks for looking!
