One Sheet Wonder Challenge

A couple of weeks ago I posted a challenge to create a one sheet wonder project using a full sheet of 12x12 paper and up to 2 stamp sets. I dug through my stash of paper to find something that has been a bit of a challenge for me to work with and has been sitting around for awhile and found this paper by Me & My Big Ideas. It's really retro looking with the big flowers and swirls! I combined it with three colors from DCWV - a mauve/red, saffron yellow and egglpant.

The stamp set I choose is a new one I just bought at Joann's. They had a fantastic deal on some brand new sets they just added to their display! The new, clear inkadinkadoo stamps are only $9.99, plus they were 40% off this week - so I picked up a bunch of sets for $5.99 - you really can't beat that deal!! I stamped al my birds on vanilla cardstock, then colored them with copics.

For this ensemble I made an altered journal with a matching bookmark, an altered baby food jar filled with Prima's, a mini clipboard (2x3) with a mini card, three large cards with matching handmade envelopes, and three mini cards for a total of 10 pieces (13 if you include the envies)

I'm offering this set as a prize to a randomly choosen winner. The other entries have been posted in my Embellish-It forum at http://www.embellish-online.com/forum/showthread.php?t=177 - go and take a peek and leave lots of comments for these girls!!

Don't forget if you have a question for me to post it in the Q&A forum. It's an easier way for me to keep track of questions then the comments here on the blog. You can visit the forum at http://www.embellish-online.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=41

Thanks for reading!

so clever! I'm going to add Jo's to my errands this week so I can get those stamps at 40% off if they're still available.

What a beautiful set. I would love anything that you made. I have that exact paper and I've had it for quite a while because I wasn't quite sure how to use it. Now I do. I just have to get to Joanns to get me some stamps. I don't have a coupon but 9.99 isn't so bad either. I love the birds.

Michelle, this entire set is so 'you'!! The bright colors, the flowers, the whimsical birds...it just screams 'flaxychick'!! These projects are the exact reason I've been a stalker ,*ahem*, I mean 'fan'.... of yours for SO long! The winner of this set will certainly have a treasure on their hands. Now, if I only had a JoAnn's so I could find some awesome new stamps! Loved this challenge---maybe I'll try it today, just to see what I can come up with. Hugs to you!! Pam (4Hounds)

Wow, I love the entire grouping. I'll have to give myself that challenge next. Right now my own personal challenge is to make cards from all the stamped images that I have watercolored and stuck in a folder. It is getting rather full! Love your ideas and your amazing art. (#1volunteer on SCS)

What a fantastic set! I love how you made the paper stretch to create so many different items. Ironically, I have the same patterned paper that I have never used because I don't know what to do with it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love your cards. Purple is my favorite color. And the bird stamps are awesome, love the owl. My son attends Temple University and the owl is their mascot, and this owl would make great cards for him. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
