Down On The Farm

I've been working with the new sets from My Favorite Things that are being released tonight at 11pm EST. This is such an awesome little set... with lots of cute animals and funny sayings to go with them.

For the first card I made a herd of cows using a mask and stamping some in the background. They were colored with prisma pencils and a blender pencil. I used distressed paper from K&Company for the background and layers.

The second card was also made with K&Company Wild Saffron paper. I cut the vine flourish from the paper, as well as the flowers. The chicken images were colored with copics and popped up on a sponged background. I love the frame from this set because it goes with the marvy pink scalloped square. I haven't purchased any of the other sets out there that go with punches because I really don't have many of the punch sizes. I like this set because it only has the one frame and lots of other images as well. Oh yeah.... the punch comes from the Happy Occasions set being released tonight!

The third card is round (ugh.... obviously!) and was made by cutting a 4.5" square card down with a circle cutter. I left about 1/2" out of the cutter to form the fold, then I cut another circle to mount it on. The background was made with scalloped and circle punches. I added more chickens to this one along with the farmer girl carrying her buckets of scratch and feed... that's me going out to feed our chickens!!

If you like My Favorite Things stamps as much as I do and would like the chance of becoming a guest designer for the month of February then stop by the forum tonight around 9pm tonight. I'll be announcing the MFT Guest designer challenge probably around 9:30... and it will run until 8:30 on Thursday. So create something for this challenge and you might be picked as the next Guest Designer (and this means free stamp sets too!!)

Thanks for reading.... let me know which of these three cards is your favorite!

Michelle- As usual, your cards are amazing! It is hard to pick a favorite, but I guess the third card (feedin the chicks) is my favorite because of the different shape, nice bright colors, and the shading behind the stamp. Thanks for your continued inspiration!!

I love all three! If I had to pick one, I'd go for the circle card. I'm definitely going to have to get that stamp set.

You rock girl! All three are amazing...how to pick JUST one!

I love the first one the best because it is so cute.

I love the second because of the fantastic colors--so bright and cheerful....

And I love the shape and execution of the third.

There is my answer and I am sticking to it!

I have said it before, and I'll say it again. "When I grow up, I want to make cards like you!"
They are truly amazing, and I love seeing all your different designs.
Now for the question at hand, my favorite is the round card, the colors are bright and cheerful, and the image is so wonderful!

The card using the wild safron with that vine you cut out is breathtaking! I am a nut about the french country look and that card stood out to me right away! It reminded me of the little shops along the cobblestone roads in Nice, those colors were everywhere!

Wow, they are all fantastic! I like the shabby distressed look of the first one. The second one is very "lady" like? That is just weird that I said that 'cause I don't even know what it means, but that is what comes to mind. And the last, I love the lady with the pails and to have put her on a circular card is genius. Your coloring is just outstanding!

Michelle,
I love the second card the most. It has a French Provincial look about it--a Country French look. Thank you for sharing.

I love the round one because it is so...well...round! And it's so colorful, too! I also like the way the chicken look like they are coming out of the card. Great job..as always!
