The challenge on SCS today was to make 3x3 "Quick" cards with some kinda quick tool and limited embellishments. They were so fast that I had time to make 3 of them today!!
The first card was made with the new release from My Favorite Things. You guys are probably sick of seeing this image by now 'cause I've been using it so much lately - but I love it!! I colored the image with markers and sponged the background with blue ink. The snow has a little bit of sparkle added to it. The corners of the picture are rolled up a touch and the other 2 corners are held down with photo anchors. I just used a simple sentiment of "Chillin'"
The second card was made with another MFT stamp set that was just released. I colored the boots with markers, then matched up DCWV textured paper. The edges of the red are sanded down to show the white core. There are NO EMBELLISHMENTS on this card.... can you believe it?? I really wanted to add something, but couldn't think of anything it really needed!
The third card was just made tonight as I was messing around in the studio. I had this image that I colored a few days ago after stamping out images for a PIF. Off-Topic: Has anyone participated in this on SCS?? It's so much fun to trade images... I'm addicted! Okay back on topic... I finally unpacked my sewing machine, so I made a little spiral on the aqua background paper before adhering it to the purple. The simple sentiment is a rub on from Basic Grey purchased from Jacksonbelle Embellishments.
Which one is your favorite?
One last thing... someone asked about my photography. I use a light tent that I purchased online - it is a opaque white tent with 2 spotlights. I just set my cards on white paper as a base and background. The light tent filters the light so there are less shadows on the card. It works great!
