More Figgy

I just received the really cool "Winterland" stamp set from Basic Grey... I've been eyeing this set for awhile, and it arrived a few days ago. It's been killing me 'cause I've had guests and haven't been able to stamp. Holidays REALLY get in the way of crafting!!

The first image was made by stamping the wreath in an olive colored pigment ink from Colorbox. I embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a little sheen (also to get the pigment to dry faster... I'm so impatient!!) I also added soe cranberry stickles as the berries and cut out the bird after I stamped it in Ruby Red. I sanded down the textured cardstock - I love white core cardstock just for that reason!

The second card was made with the cool looking deer from this set... I added red and green ornaments hanging from his antlers. I added this fantsatic ribbon from Jacksonbelle Embellishments, it's a wide satin with a grosgrain trim. I've ordered it in just about every color!

The layouts I used are for the sketch challenge on Embellish It scrapbooking store (http://www.embellish-online.com/forum/) I don't thinkt the actually challenge is posted yet, but I'm sniping in a bit early because I happened to have a few minutes to work on it and post it. So check out the forum on Embellish It and add your own version of the sketch challenge! If you participate in the skech challenge let me know by leaving a comment here and a link to your card.... maybe I'll do another drawing for something?!?

I picked the winner for the Blog Candy giveaway in my last post. The winner is Colleen....

"Wow! Both cards are great, but I like the clean lines of the 1st one. You're sweet for doing the blog candy too!

Cheers,
Colleen" Congratulations!! I'll email you for your address and will get your goodies out in the mail!
