So Simple it's Silly!!

This card was basically made with the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding scraps that were scattered around my work table. I cut the scraps into different sized triangle then sponged the edges. They are layered on textued olive cardstock, then a wavy piece of white was adhered over the bottom. I added some stickles to the "snow" and voila'.... DONE!

The sentiment is from Green Grass stamps... I love their stamps sets, but it's been forever since I've used them. I just found this uncut Christmas set in my stash, so I quick snipped it apart and put it to use! It's stamped with Black ink on whit cardstock, then matted on some textured red.

My Challenge:

I challenge you to make a Christmas tree card too by using the scraps that are scattered on your desk... I know that their there!!! Gather them up, cut 'em into triangles, the make a card similar to mine. When your done post a link back here in the comments... I can't wait to see what everone comes up with!

I am definitely going to have to try this! Your card is so cute...and your challenge is perfect timing. I have tons of BG Blitzen scraps from my weekend foray! (OK...I'm two seasons behind using my Basic Grey...ROFL).

What a great way to use scraps! Not that they look like scraps!! Great card. I love your new banner, too!

Michelle, this is a fantastic idea...and I save even the tiniest pieces of DP scraps.... It's awful.. even the tiny ones the size of my thumb nail! (Guess DP is just too special to toss into the garbage...especially if it's Basic Grey!) I'm gonna try this as soon as the kids head off to school this morning. I'll add a link later. Have a great day! Pam (4Hounds)

Great card, Michelle! And, I was intrigued enough to give it a try. Working with very different papers, my results were quite different as well. Nonetheless, I like it! Thank you for the inspiring challenge.

....freaking ingeniously simple!! This is a "why didn't I think of that?!!" design! My hubby will be so thankful to get rid of all the scraps (although my dog does like to eat them...)

Oooo...I like this card! The way you layered the trees makes it look like you could walk through them! What a great way to draw perspective "into" the card front! Neato!
