Tie Dye Tutorial

I just finished posting the tie dye tutorial on my website at http://www.twisted-chick.com/tyedye.htm - it really is a fun technique and I would LOVE to make up a gallery of everyones creations!

This week's challenge is to make a tye dyed card following these instructions. If you make the card and post it on your blog or in your SCS gallery please send me a link and I'll link them all up here later in the week.

You can leave your link in a comment to this post or email me at blog@clothingcorner.com

Hope everyone had a great Easter - I just got back home last night after a wonderful weekend away.

Hi Michelle, I am giving you the link to the cards I "tried" to make for your challenge. I had trouble getting the wax onto the cardstock. Maybe my wax paper was old--just didn't seem to want to come off and I was afraid of burning the cardstock. Anyhow, just thought I would let you know I tried.

Thanks so much for posting the tutorial, Michelle!
I sat down tonight and tried again - I do get the folding part now. However, I'm still having problems getting the wax to stick all over- I only get partial wax pattern. I've tried everything, longer/shorter ironing time, higher/lower temperature, more/less pressure when ironing, different wax paper. Comes out the same each time. I think I might go and get some posterboard and try with that. If that doesn't work, I will stop trying and call myself tie dye impaired. LOL! At least I was glad to see that I wasn't the only one having problems- looks like Cheryl had the same problem as me.
