Bright Birthday Cards & Winners

With our weather so horrible today (about a foot of snow!) I wanted to make some BRIGHT cards!! I love this chipboard accordian card. The front and the back are from the SU! Onboard Chipboard set. I covered both pieces with paper from a 6x6 paper pad I found at AC Moore last weekend called Salsa Junk Padz - this one is nice and bright and has a great birthday theme to it. The little printed sayings are all from one of the pages of the pad, I simply trimmed them down and mounted them on the pages of my card.
-
I designed the "H" in Happy on my own and did some faux stitching around it. The rest of the "appy" letters are from SU! - I'm drawing a blank on what the name of the set is though. I used Sweet Baby Jane from Green Grass stamps for the Birthday on the last page. The last page flips up to reveal a space for writing your own sentiment. If you click on the pictures it will open in a larger window so you can get a closeup of the sentiments.
-
The second card was for today's challenge on SCS I used Not Quite Navy from SU as my base, then layered striped Basic Grey paper over the top 2 triangles. Top image is a layer of white, a yellow scalloped circle punch, then a large chipboard start that is was faux stitched with white gel pen. I added an 11 (because my youngest will be 11 soon...) and colored it with green chalk in and green stickles. The inside can be seen on my SCS gallery

all your card are so great! You make it look so easy, and have helped to inspire me. I've recently gotten into reading all these great paper crafting blogs, and have acutally pulled my stuff out after letting it sit for over a year. Thanks! Courtney

Hey Courtney... if you read this please email me at blog@clothingcorner.com with your shipping address and I'll get your goodies out to you as soon as I can... I would love to say tomorrow, but I'm such a procrastinator that it usually takes about a week!

Both such totally fab cards, but I choose the tag card because of the design. You've been making such fun cards! Also...CONGRATS on the DD. So happy to see you there.

I love both of these cards... hard to choose, but I think I'm going to go with the second one. They are both great, love all the colors - but the second one is more "me".

I sent you a email w/ my info. Thanks again for the chance to "play".

I guess...if I had to choose...hmmm, it would be numero dos!! #2

I like the way the star pops. The stripes and colors make it stand out. Awesome job!

Definitely #2! Loved the stripes.

Wow these are both great cards but I think my favorite is #1. It does however look like it took a long time to put together. I would be curious to know how long it took.
I do also love #2. I love all the layers on the front. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmm ... they are both so great. The star #11 is perfect for a kids birthday and I might have to use that idea one day. But I think my favorite would be #1 - I just love accordion tag cards.

Your creations are amazing. I like your second birthday card the best as it seems more age appropriate for an eleven year old. Linda SS
