Find some inspiration!

You can find inspiration for cardmaking just about anywhere! I was flipping through a crochet magazine the other day and found this ad for a granny square scarf pattern. I loved the colors in it, and the lacy texture to the granny square reminded me of the fancy square cuttlebug folders my dh bought me for Xmas. I dug out some SU cardstock in Ballet Blue, Sahara Sand, Vintage Violet, Cranberry Crisp and Ruby Red to match the colors in the ad. I then embossed them with my cuttlebug - and heat embossed the flowers with gold EP. The "Get Better Soon" sentiment is from Green Grass Card Greetings set .

What do you think? Does the card look like the scarf?

BLOGGER CHALLENGE - My challenge to you this week is to find an ad in a magazine and use it as your card inspiration - then take a picture of your inspiration and the card and post it on your blog - or if you don't have a blog email it to me at blog@clothingcorner.com and I'll post it here - or you can also post it in your SCS gallery! Add a link to your creation by posting to this thread (even if you don't want to play you still leave me a comment!) I'm gonna pick a random winner from everyone who posts.... the winner will receive a goodie bag of embellishments including chipboard, ribbon, tags, rub-ons and more!

I always find it amazing when someone can look at a magazine and have ideas jump out at them. Your card is so cool - and totally looks like the scarf! For now, I will take your card as my inspiration to play with - but will try to keep an eye open for inspiration in other places as well!

Here's the ad for inspiration (I liked the colours and the sheen on the bike frame).

I just love checking your blog and seeing what you have come up with. The get well card is amazing..who would have thought a scarf inspired it. I will have to start looking at my magazines more closely.
