Updated Lily Kate Journal

I couldn't decide who's advice to take on this journal.... so I added a bit of everyones!! Is it too much?

  • CHIPBOARD and CHARM - I added the paper covered flower/star as a charm dangling from the bookplate. This idea was suggested by: Heather, Dawn Mercedes, April H, Lsn2, Joanna and Denise Lynn)
  • ROUND PUNCH - I added the Sahara Sand scalloped circle punch to the upper left corner of the tree image. This was suggested by waymofro
  • BUTTONS - Marie suggested a row of buttons, but I added a single one to the center of the Prima bouquet
  • PRIMAS - were suggested by Peggy - I stuck them on the card with pop dots, then decorated the centers with stickles and a button on the large center one.
  • LEAVES - Julie recommended some leaves - I stamped the leaves from Mixed Bouquet and attached them to the scalloped circle.
  • STICKLES - were added to the prima centers - they were suggested by Bethtrue.
  • RIBBON - under the bookplate was Bonnie's recomendation - this little bit of green was tied around the top of the bookplate.
  • BIRDS/BUTTERFLY - I stamped 2 small butterflies on the scalloped circle - this was suggested by tinawerner.
  • Dividers - I punched tabs out of the pink paper for dividers. Cmctxgal was the one who suggested this.

Whew.... there were alot of suggestions!! The only one I haven't completed yet was the beaded pen.... we currently have a pen shortage in the house, so that one will have to wait until I go to the store! I am planning on adding it though!

Vote for the next challenge: Leave your comment on my next weekly challenge....

  1. No Flowers - See if I can go a whole week without a flower on my card (does this include paper?)
  2. Masculine Cards - Just stuff for the guys
  3. No Cards - Everything but a card
  4. Go Symetrical - A little less random, a little more in line.

Leave a comment and tell me what you want to see next week!

You know, I always love all your projects and if I have to chose just one of your ideas for your weekly challenge (only 1??? I'd like to see them all. LOL) I guess I would chose masculine since that seems to be my difficulty - coming up with ideas & techniques for masculine cards. lol

Wow...you've been busy with all the additions to your journal. I love it. Still needs the beaded pen. lol

I agree with doverdi. It would be great to have some new ideas for guy cards...something out of the ordinary or expected...:)

I would also love to see you do some masculine cards, I have the hardest time finding inspiration for those! :)

Wow the journal was already so pretty and you've made it even better. I just laughed when you said you've added something for everyone!

For the challenge I stick to my original thought (along with a few others) ... Masculine Cards. Have fun!

What a gorgeous journal!! WOW!!

I agree with several other posts I've read - Masculine cards have always been a challenge for so many of us... I'd love to see your creations!

OH WOW - this turned out incredible!! I love it!!

I would love to see some masculine cards, as they are rather difficult to come up with a "non"girly yet totally hits the point, if you know what I mean.

Masculine anything is my vote. Hubby has been commenting that I don't have much with the man's point of view in my crafts. Would love some inspiration in this area.
P.S. Looking forward to seeing one of those beaded pens in the future! lol

Super creation...love the mix of stamps and papers! I am up for some boy cards...always nice to see another's take on the elusive "male" card.

I have to agree with a good portion of everyone and say go masculine as I for one struggle on masculine cards but then everything you do is fantabulous

I am going aginst the grain - I love your card tin and would love to see the non card (anything but a card). Maybe a gifty thing? I didn't think the book could be improved, but I love it even more!!

I'd love to see some masculine cards.

By the way, your journal is fabulous!

Love the journal, but I adore all of your projects! I vote for a combo of the list I always have trouble with masculine cards but have even more trouble coming up with gift ideas to go along with a masculine card. So my vote is for masculine cards and anything but a card-masculine.

My vote is everything but a card!

I wasn't going to vote on this one, but in the end I changed my mind; my vote might be the tie braker --LOL. I'm happy to see that so many others want masculine cards, because that is what my vote is for. Although -- I can't imagine you NOT doing flowers. I love all your work and am anxious to see what you come up with for our men!

I vote for Masculine cards since I have a hard time coming up with something.

I didn't think that you could improve that card. It sure is beautiful I look forward to all of your cards. It will be nice to see your new projects what ever they may be. Thanks for sharing. Mo Moss
