Something Fishy goin on...

Something fishy IS going on... I'm going flower-less today because my friend Sue tells me I really need to ty it! Still using the Basic Grey paper though and still LOVIN' IT!! This bubble-like paper is from the Phoebe paper pad - I thought it was the perfect backgroun for fish stamps!
-
This card measures 6.25" x 3.25" - I made it to fit into a short business sized envelope - you can see the envelope peeking out from under the card. I'm gonna try to make an effort to make a matching envelope for every card.... it's so much easier to just use a blank one.... but it really adds to the card to have a matching one!
-
My main image was made by stamping the fishes on celery cardstock and cutting them out - they were colored a bit with markers to add highlights. I them punched a white circle and stamped the fishes on it, then glued the cut outs on top. I put silver stickles on the bubbles. The white circle is mounted with dimensionals on a garden green scalloped circle (Mega size) that was highlighted with white gel pen accents. The ribbon was threaded between the green and white layers.
-
BLOG CANDY ALERT... This card will be my Wednesday giveaway this week... along with a bag of ribbon and Primas! So leave a comment on today's card and enter to win. Don't forget to check out my Lily Kate journal from yesterday... I need more suggestions on what else to put on the front!! I'll be working on that tomorrow and would like to look through lots of suggestions!! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Love the fish card. I like that you used green instead of the typical blue. Very cute indeed. Gotta love Basic Grey papers :o)
As for your Lily Kate notebook, I'm thinking it needs some metal. Maybe some metal photo corners on the square with the tree??? Just a thought. Take care,

Great blog candy! As for the journal, I think the tree image needs to be framed more prominently... I would make a frame around it with sticky strip and emboss on it - maybe a chocolate brown to make it stand out? Otherwise, it looks great!
