All About Orange!

It's so good to be back in the stampin' groove again!! I worked on a few projects yesterday, but this one is my favorite!
-
I started out by cuttlebugging some watercolor paper with the d'vine swirls. I applied watercolor crayons from Earth Elements to the valleys of the embossing and sponged it all together with a wet stampin' sponge. I then colored with a little of the dark brown WC crayon directly onto the sponge and lightly ran it along the peaks of the embossing for a little dimension. I really liked how this turned out, but next time I wouldn't blend the colors as much.
-
Both pieces of chipboard were colored with Colorbox liquid chalk - I used rust and dark brown colors, then added a little gold pearl ex for sparkle. The sentiment is from Mike's $1 bin.
-
Flowers are from Doodle This Spring mini set. They were stamped on Vanilla paper and watercolored with WC crayons. I added stickles to the centers and the petal dots. I added a bunch of different ribbons, all from Michaels - they have had the BEST ribbons lately!!
-
For this card I took the time to decorate an envelope too.... I usually forget that part and just have plain white envelopes with everything. I embossed the flap with the d'vine swirls too.... it looks so cool!
-
Thanks for looking and leaving comments - I am still doing the weekly giveaways - this week it will be on WEDNESDAY (my birthday!!) - so leave comments and you'll be entered to win! I will give a disclaimer that I'm terrible about getting things out promptly - so it will take a few extra days to get the candy, but don't worry it will get there!
