Caardarks Challenge

The current Caardvarks challenge was to create baby and bridal shower themed cards and projects. We were lucky enough to receive some great goodies from Creative Cuts & More to work with... fun stuff!!

My first card was decorated with glitter flower die cuts from K&Company's "Berry Sweet" line. I glued them down on black cardstock first and trimmed along the edges for a bold black outline... it just made them POP a little more {like neon colored glitter needs to POP?} The sentiment was computer generated and I added little bees to the flowers.

The inside of the card has 2 tabs that allow the flower adhered to them to pop forward. I used a white Bazzill cardstock cut in the A2 Pop Up Insert.

My second project was a baby shower theme... The invitation is the Slash Folder with Tag #5 done in shades of blue and tuquoise. I added paper from K&Company's Nursery paper pad for the dotted background and used other colors from the pad as my color inspiration for the animals. The animal stamp is from DRS designs.... isn't it cute?

My bridal show set was done with the A7 Dress Window and the Dress Box both in String of Pearls Bazzill Bling cardstock. I added turquoise paper and patterned paper from October Afternoon for the accents. The inside of the card is layered with the patterned paper and a sheet of vellum is overlayed to tone down the pattern showing through the window and for printing the shower invitation details.

The prizes for this challenge are the brand new card kits from CCM:

THE CHALLENGE:

A delayed inspiration, but your 7/6/09 card inspired one of my own creations. :) Thanks for the inspiration.

Your work is amazing.
