MFT Bling Bet Bounce!

Imagine your name in lights.... okay how about sparkles and bling? It's easy to do with the new (and totally cool) alphabet from My Favorite Things called the Bling Bet! You'll get to see some amazing projects done with this alphabet during our blog hop... so if you're just jumping in right now on my blog then hop on back to Kim's Blog and follow it from the beginning.

For my first project I used a $1 wooden from from AC Moore and decorated it with digital paper from the Summer Collection by Stephanie Fizer. I added some aqua organdy ribbon also from MFT and some Petaloo and Prima Flowers.

My daughter's name was stamped with the Bling Bet on aqua mist squares and Hot Fix rhinestones were applied to the marked spaces with the heat applicator. This is a really easy method that saves lots of time and mess that you sometimes get when dealing with glue or crystal effects and non adhesive rhinestones.

I added sentiments from the BC Dzyns "day dreamer" set inside the dreamy comic bubble with little check marks so the "thought" could be marked with a removable rhinestone. I also set this up on a piece of velcro so another bubble can be applied with different thoughts. The picture of Sierra was taken last year during Halloween when she dressed up as Audrey Hepburn. I love the thoughtful look on her face... it's perfect for this application!

My second card also uses the "day dreamer" set and thought bubble. For this card I left the holes open in my alphabet so the patterned paper I stamped on shows through. I stamped the letters in versamark ink, then embossed with black embossing powder for a thick finish. The stripes of the paper show through enough so the dots are changing colors. I used more of the same paper for the tablecloth.

I hope you're having fun on the blog hop! Your next stop is Natalie's Blog "Dougnat Diaries". I'm sure she has something amazing to show you! Don't forget to keep hopping until you reach the end where you'll get a chance to win some goodies. ALSO don't forget about the release party on Wednesday night in the MFT forum on SCS - we'll be releasing this new set along with a few others AND there will be another guest designer challenge!

Oh I love the 'dreamer' card - the way you did the multi color bling and popped it - wonderful (and it really really makes me want the 'bet set).

Oh man, I'm glad you said you stamped it on the designer paper, here I was thinking you punched holes in all those and then layered them on top of paper and THEN trimmed them down...**phew** i'da NEVER attempted to case it with THAT thought process! LOL I'm such a dork sometimes... Thanks for sharing!

Two completly awesome ideas!! I just love the picture frame with your daughter's name on it. It is the perfect picture as you said for that thought bubble and the card is amazing! Never would have thought to put them over the polka dot paper, but that is brilliant!

Smiles,
