Relaxing at the Shore... I WISH!

Right off the bat, before I forget.... I'm going to mention the Blog Candy giveaway on yesterday's post. By answering one little question you'll be entered to win 2 stamps from American Art Stamp and a Colorbox Ink pad. So check out the post from yesterday!

Today's card was made for the SCS Color Challenge #201. It features kraft, NQN and Sage or Baja Breeze. I used paper from K&Company... it's an older pad, but the colors matched the combo quite nicely. I used one of my brand new stamp sets from Impression Obsession. When I went to CHA last summer their booth was my very first stop, and I was totally blown away by their cute, whisical and just plain pretty stamps. So when they had a design team call I was tickled pink to be choosen as a guest designer for January, February & March. This set is called "By the Seaside" - doesn't it seriously make you want to take a vacation??

I stamped all my sea critters in black memento ink, then colored them with copic markers in shades of green, blue & turquoise. I added a glaze of shimmerz in candlelight over the top to give them a pearly sheen. They are each popped up on dimensionals over a rectangle nestie die cut.

For a ribbon embellishment I used green dotted grosgrain ribbon (currently on sale) and added a Basic Grey button and a blue rhinestone to hold it all together. These rhinestone brads have long enough fasteners that they fit through the button, around the bow and through the cardstock for a nice secure fastening.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!
