Saturday Sketch Challenge #1

I love accordian cards and was playing around with this 4x4 card today. I made the card, then drew up the sketch and instructions on it but never took a picture of it!! Right now my camera batteries are charging... so I'm just gonna have to make another card and take pictures of both of them tomorrow!

The accordian card uses a 4" x 12" sheet of paper that is scored at 2", 5" & 8". I like this fold because you can attach an image or sentiment over the fold at 5" and it ends up in a good spot on the inside of the card. You'll see where I positioned it on the sketch below. I also used ribbon to tie th card together and the ribbon was attached under the top flap and another was attached to the back of the card. I tied them in a bow on the front.

I'd love to see any cards done with this sketch - if you do one please post a link here! Thanks for reading and check back later for pictures of my cards.

Hi Michelle! Your blog was one of the first I had every read back when I was fairly new to "blogland" and when you were on the DT at Embellish-It. I saw you were doing a sketch challenge and thought I would give it a try. You can see mine and some details of it at my blog

Thanks for the great sketch!

I love this sketch. I am always looking for different folds for my cards to give them interest. I wanted to much to create a card, but time has just gotten away from me. I have bookmarked your blog and will be back to give it a try after the holidays. Merry Christmas to you and best wishes for the New Year.
