Today's challenge on SCS is to make a pop up giftcard holder. The original instructions were for a 4x4 card, but I wanted to make a standard A2 size holder. Supplies and measurements for this new size are at the bottom of this post
I used colors from the PCP Color Challenge located HERE. I used Basic Grey paper from Eva for the embossed background which was sanded to show the texture. I also used more Basic Grey paper for the paper pieced bird.
It's hard to tell in the picture, but the bottom, scalloped layer of the image was embossed with gold ep to match the big gold brads. That delicate, lacy flower is from a tin of primas. Pretty isn't it?
I love the design of this card and how the gift card is held in place! Since this is a Barnes & Noble card I used a sentiment from My Favorite Things on the inside. After MUCH fiddling with this project I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Measurements for card: 5.25" x 11" Paper. Score along long side at 4", 5.5" & 7". This will make a 5.25" x 4" card. I mounted it on a piece of 5.5 x 4.25 olive cardstock.
Supplies: Basic Grey Eva 6x6 Paper, Kraft & Olive Cardstock, Ribbons and inside sentiment (MFT), Prima Lace Flower.

I like the card but would prefer to case the CD holder card or the card with the two birds.
