I've been a little quiet this week getting ready for the kiddies to go back to school, enjoying the last week of summer and getting some samples ready for the My Favorite Things release this week! This new set is called "Branching out, and it features a branch with a line image and a solid image so you can 2-step stamp it. It also has a few sets of leaves to decorate the branch and some other cool embellishments such as these cute ghosts for Halloween, ornaments for Xmas and flowers for Spring. For this card I masked the moon on a white sheet of cardstock and inked the sky around it with a variety of blues. The branch was double stamped, then the leaves were stamped in several shades of green. I embossed the ghosts with white EP so you could really see them against the darker background.
The second card was stamped on a watercolor card and colored with ink and a blender pen. I wanted a simple one layer card (very hard for me to do!) I love the curved sentiments in this set - doesn't it look pretty around the tree like that?
The third card features just the senitment from the "Branch Out" set and a sheet of the new paper line that My Favorite Things is carrying. The silver sequin hearts, snowflake flower center, and blue rhinestone are all from the Snowman Bling box on My Favorite Things - this box is chock full of fun embellishments for all your winter cards!! Don't forget to check out the ribbon on her site as well.... it comes in 25 yard spools and is really soft and silky.
Don't forget to visit the forum on SCS for the release party Wednesday night - it's always a fun time with some cool challenges and a chance to be the next guest designer! I host the guest designer challenge and would love for all my readers to participate!
