Coffin Candy Box

I was so excited about this little black box!!! I found it at CHA and it was a make & take which I waited to make when I got home. The top of the box is decorated with some of the new paper that MFT will be carrying as well as the new Halloween stamp set coming out on August 6. The witchy image and ingredient jars were colored with copics. I added glitter around the main image with a glue pen and dazzling diamonds.

The box is all cut and prescored, so all you need to do is tape it together with double sided sticky tape (I use scor-tape). It comes with a bunch of coffin shaped cards that you are supposed to make into an album to put in the box, but since I'm using mine as a candy container, I adhered the card to the top of the box instead with a little ribbon to tie it all together!
I used more designer paper to add some embellishment to the sides of the box as well. The ribbon will be available on MFT later this week as well.... in big 25 yard spools for a fantastic price. Can you ever have enough ribbon??? I know I'm a total ribbon junky!

Don't forget about my BLOG CANDY giveaway all week long! I have extra magazines, books, paper, a slice apron, pearlescent watercolors, my extra projects and more to give away this week. All's you need to do is leave a comment (and your email or a way to contact you) on each post this week. I'll be picking one winner from each one!

Love the box!!! I usually start Halloween stuff when the kids go back to school - I need to finish a couple projects first so by the 18th when they go back I can get rollin on Halloween!!!

Sooo cute! I like the idea of using the coffin for a candy box! Much better than just holding the cards till you use them...
