Here is another garden related project I made with the new release from MFT. I found the little metal bucket at the dollar store. They are such great little things to have around the house to make a quick and easy gift when you stuff some treats into the small cellophane bags from Wilton. I found a small package of wildflower mix at the store - and was able to fit the whole box of it inside the cellophane bag. I cut the directions from the outside of the box and placed them inside of the card.
The pail and the wheelbarrow on the card were decorated with the Flocking & Foil kit (carried by MFT). I used the hot pink flocking for this project. It's really an easy kit to use because you don't have to mess around with glue for the flocking - just apply one of the adhesive rub ons, then apply the flocking (or foil) right over the top. I'm thrilled with these little sets! I also paper pieced the wheelbarrow with the dotted paper. I have to admit a boo-boo - I made little shadows with a light colored grey under the wheelbarrow, then THOUGHT I was grabbing the blending marker, but instead grabbed the cool grey pen... well you see the result. I was too tired to start over, plus I just used up the rest of the floral adhesives. So now the wheelbarrow looks like it's on asphalt or something.
Another closeup of the flocking flowers - they are so pretty!!
I gotta share with everyone... I got to finally meet Kim from MFT last weekend!! She was attending a wholesale show about 4 hours from my house, so I popped in the car and drove to the show to see her. She is just the sweetest person!! I also got to meet Alma from The Cat's Pajamas and Robert from American Art Stamps - both were a blast to hang out with for the night!! Tim Holtz from Ranger was also at the show. I was thinking about getting my picture taken with him, but I'm really not into the groupie thing.... even if he is a papercrafting rockstar! All in all it was an awesome weekend!
