A combination of nice weather, a new puppy, kids home on Spring break, and lots of extra work from my "real" job have made this week fly by with NO STAMPING DONE!!! The first time I even set foot in the studio was last night because I really need to get to work on the projects for the Shoebox Swap I'm going to next weekend. Right now I'm working on 26 card fronts. I'm sooooo bad at doing more than one or two of the same, so this is just about killin' me!

I actaully made these 2 cards last week. The first card was made with a Marsha McCarthy stamp from American Art Stamp. I wanted a bold, dramatic look to this little card, so I embossed the main image with black ep, then colored in the image with SU Markers. Did you know that you can't color over embossed lines with Copics? The alcohol makes the embossed image sticky - so confiscated my SU markers from my dd for this one.

I struggled with the second card for over an hour trying to get it right. I really wanted to make a soft looking card to go with this pretty angel stamp from Andriana Cirstea. I colored it pink and purple and then went a little crazy on the purple paper, which isn't light and soft AT ALL! I really like the way it turned out though - I guess I gonna just accept that I don't have a delicate style - bold is just more me!

Thanks for looking! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I just adore the American Artist stamp. At first I thought you had beaded the front. Fantastic. Of course I love the second one since purple would be the world`s best color.
