My Favorite Things has two really cute new stamp sets coming out on Wednesday, March 5 - so I'm gonna post some teasers that I put together over the weekend.
The set I'm featuring today is Punch A Bunch. This set comes with 2 oval stamps that fit the Giga and Mega sized Marvy scalloped oval punches. The first card I made features the smaller oval stamp with the larger punch showing that you don't need both punches to make this set work! This card was made for a SCS challenge to deboss vellum - the flowers were debossed, along with the cuttlebugged background and the border on the vertical strip. I also made the scalloped edges with punched hearts - this is my favorite new technique!!!
Card #2 features both of the oval stamps - one inside of the other along with a set of flowers that come with the set (there are 4 bunches of flowers total!) I also used one of 4 sentiment arches above the flowers. These arches are designed for either sized oval since you can stretch them out when applying to acrylic block. For this card I stamped a flower background image as well for the center strip. The flowers were colored with Copics and have Platinum Stickles for their centers. The background was DCWV textured paper that was cuttlebugged and sanded.
For card #3 I stamped the background with flower bunches, then stamped the oval with Ranger Gold paint from a paint dabber. After the paint dried I punched it out with a large oval. The flowers on this card were embossed with gold EP and individually cut out. The centers are orange rhinestones. I stamped the sentiment arch, trimmed it out, and highlighted the edges with gold paint before popping it up on dimensionals over the flowers.
There are so many ways to use this set.... I'm still coming up with more! Tomorrow I will post some projects made with the new Western set that is also coming out on Wednesday.
Thanks for looking!
