Flower Candy Basket

At the Shoebox swap last weekend Diane (Cookiestamper) came up with a great challenge. She handed out bags of supplies and the tables had to work together to come up with a project. We could use any stamps or embellishments, but couldn't add paper to the project. Our table won!! The picture of our project is posted HERE. I'm the one on the far right with the glasses, tan sweater and long necklace.

Anyways... I was inspired by our project to make this little chocolate gift basket. The paper is from Stampin' Up, I used it to cover 4x4 coasters that were tied together with Amuse ribbon. I added flowers that were colored with copics, and a sentiment from MFT. I bought some coconut dark chocolates from Target and covered them with DP and a stamped flower. The flower stamps are from Autumn Leaves - I know I've seen this set available at both Walmart & Target (after I ordered mine online of course). I'm so happy with how this turned out!

The second card is a MFTeaser... This sentiment on this card is from a new set being released on Wednesday, 2.6.08 by My Favorite Things - It's called Twisted Sentiments and features some slightly quirky and a bit risque sentiments that coordinate with some of MFT existing sets. I used the color challenge on SCS as my color inspiration.

I colored the main image with a combo of copics and prisma pencils. The thin blue strip with white dots was made with liquid applique. I used my scalloped flower die from Cuttlebug to make th scallops... I always forget about these dies!

Don't forget to check out my ATC swap listed a couple posts back. There are alot of participants from all over the world... so it should turn out to be a fantastic swap! Also don't forget to check out the MFT party tomorrow night in the MFT Forum on Splitcoast. I'll be hosting the Guest Designer challenge again this month... so stop by and participate in the challenge!

Thanks for looking.

Awesome colors! Love the flowers and paper. What stamp set did you use to make the flowers? I look forward to each morning reading your blog.
