Created for today's SCS challenge - to use up scrap paper and create background strips with the scraps. I LOVED this!!! I matched up some designer paper leftovers and cut the strips, then glued them to a piece of Old Olive cardstock to form the card background.
The main image is from My Favorite Things and is called Bundle of Bouquets. I stamped it on glossy cardstock and colored it with Stampin' UP markers. The sentiment is also from the MFT set - I cut it into strips and adhered it with dimensionals.
I thought this picture was sooooooo cute. The mama hen has all 20 of her babies under her and her wings. There is one little head peeking out from behind her wing - once this one climbed out they all started and it looked like they were just climbing out of her feathers!
We also found one more chick this morning that was missed when we cleared them out of the loft. It was in perfect condition, just a little lonley - so we put it in the box with the rest. This mama is now up to 21 babies..... can you imagine the stress??
