Crazy for Baroque!

I've had so much fun with the Baroque Motifs stamp set.... it's fabulous!!
-
The first card was made yesterday while SCS was down and my friend Arin was over for some stamping time. I wanted some bold colros to go with the K&Co paper... so I threw a bunch of scraps in a pile and was determined to use them all. Well I accomplished my goal with this card, and I have to admit I REALLY LOVE the way it turned out! I dug out my heat gun for a little gold embossing on the flourish. I also used my Martha Cosmos punch and highlighted the flower with Startdust pen. This card opens at the top and has a pocket on the bottom half. I added a layered piece of cardstock as a pull out card
-
Card #2 was today's creation. I had some more scraps laying in my table and realized how beautiful Thyme, Soft Sky and Wasabi look together. I also added some Not Quite Navy as the card base on this one. Again, I embossed the flourish in gold EP, I also embossed the center flower and added a rhinestone brad.

Let me know which card is your favorite!

I love them both! But I would have to pick Card #2 because I love True Thyme, and your colour combination there is just sensational. And the layout, and all the details. I love it!!!!

Speaking of cards I love, I spotted your card in my new Paper Crafts magazine and it's really stunning! Congratulations!

I love these cards! The colors remind me of the rich victorian colors. Beautiful! Now I want to dig out some of my darker colors!

I love that you chose bold colors to go with the flourish set on the first cards. Something that I havent seen too much yet of most of the posters of cardmakers using this set.
#2 has such a classic elegance about it, and I love how the colors come together too. my fav is #2

Gorgeous cards. I'm particularly fond of the first one. It is reminiscent of your SCS subscriber gallery. Love what you did with this brightly coloured card!

LOVE both! They are really pretty, but #1 is my favorite! I am a HUGE fan of Amy Butler and have a substantial collection of her fabrics. When I found her new paper products, I bought everything!

If I have to pick a favorite I pick the bottom one. I LOVE the wasabi with the blue and gold! I've always been a little afraid of gold EP, but you have shown me that it can be very beautiful!

Rubberstamping and card making are my therapy. I used to tell my husband that it was cheaper than a therapist--but I think he is on to me ;-) bethatma@cox.net--bethatma on splitcoast
