Manly Elegance?

Sorry for not posting over the weekend... between St. Patricks Day and a couple of workshops it was really busy!!
-
I needed to get away from the green colors for my manly cards, so I want with the grey distressed paper from Scarlett's Letter - this pack has become my favorite! I was originally going to do just black, white and grey - but I ended up adding Burgundy for a little color.
-
The stamped images are embossed with black ep and are from theCarte Postale set from the Winter Mini. I added the black/white ribbon under the images - I felt this was a pretty masculine ribbon.
-
QUESTION...... How does this picture look? Does the white cloth and tan wall background look okay, or should I go back to a previous background? I used to use white as the backdrop. I need to play around a bit more I think. Any photo suggestions would be welcome!! You can either leave a comment or email me at blog@clothingcorner.com

I am also placing an order with Fancy Pants and am putting together a bundle of their supplies - check out their website at www.fancypantsdesigns.com!

Gosh, I guess I have never put that much thought into a background. I am always looking at the main event. Your cards all look wonderful!

It's a good life!

I have to agree with the others that have posted...you could stick the card on a cardboard box and I still would notice the background. I am too busy admiring your cards to pay attention to the background. lol Ok...back to the card..lol...I love it. Another nice manly card!

I love this card! The black just makes it "pop"!

I think the background would depend on what card you are photographing. In your manly cards, the tan background is perfect- like a worn leather chair!
The white is nice for your bright colors and gives a softer look.

I think the background adds to the card... at least in the picture. Great card!! I love it. Keep up the good work. God bless. Linda D.
