After counting the votes for my new "challenge" it seems that Manly Cards won. This is gonna be a real challenge for me, since it's hard to make a manly card with flowers on it!!
I've been tossing this idea around in my head about drink recipes and cards... when I was REALLY into fiber arts - knitting & crocheting - my friend and I talked about designing patterns named after mixed drinks. It never happenend, but it got me thinking about the concept with cardmaking.
Since St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner I thought a nice Irish card would be perfect - this one is for my dh - he (we) love Guiness beer - and 2 of the recipes here use Guiness. I also added an Irish Coffee recipe so I could use the Latte set to embellish. The card measures 6.25" x 3.25" (yes another one for the business envelope), and the front has a pocket to hold the recipes - I covered the pocket with Basic Grey paper from Scarlett's Letter pack. I stamped St. Patrick's Day with Karen Foster Snap Stamps, and "Let's Party" is from Mike's $1 bin. The recipe cards measure 5.5" x 1.5" - they were just printed out on the computer. The recipes came from Webtender - it's such a cool site!
So... what do you think?? Is it manly???
