It's HUGE!

This HUGE flower is the large bloom in the "Big Blooms" spring mini set. I stamped it with really rust ink on vanilla cardstock. The petals were decorated with stickles that I just received in the mail today from Cindy (My Inky Fingers) - she gives away GREAT blog candy - so you have to check it out! Thanks for the fun goodies!
-
The center of the flower is a piece of Basic Grey undressed chipboard that is for sale on my website. I stamped it with the big flower and really rust ink, then I inked it up with mustard liquid chalk. The middle flower was stamped on Marigold and distressed with a little rust liquid chalk. I tied a clear button to the center with gold cord.
-
The flower is mounted on marigold cardstock, then matted on chocolate chip. This layer was then adhered to a layer of really rust. The paper was score about 1/3" from the left edge and fastened to the base with 3 eyelets. I tied chocolate ribbon through these eyelets.

This card has a fall/harvest feel to it because of the rust and marigold. I seem to be on a bit of a yellow kick this week... second card featuring yellow! I try to mix it up a bit and would love to have some SU color suggestions. As I'm writing this I'm getting an idea....

NEW CHALLENGE.... once a week (today in this case) I'll take color requests. Put a Stamping' Up color request in your comment and I'll have my dh randomly choose 3 colors that will be incorporated into a project. This sounds like fun - can't wait!!

Michelle, can you tell me where I can access your store? I don't see a link on your blog, or maybe I don't know what I'm looking for...that's probably more accurate. Great card!

Ewwww...Awwwww....I love it! I am so happy that you put that stickles to work! I just made a project last night and wanted my silk flower to look more sparkly, so I added stickles! It turned out perfect!
