Fun with Folds

I don't generally post my cards created for SCS challenges here, but I had to take too many pictures of this one to show what it looks like!
-
I was inspired by an article in Cardmaker magazine - it showed lots of cool folding techniques and an accordian card similar to this. To make this I did the following:
1. Cut a 8.5 x 11" paper in half so you have two 8.5"x5.5" sheets. Score and fold the bottom layer as you would a normal card, then score the cardfront in half and fold forward.
2. Score second sheet of paper in half, then each in half again. Fold accordian style.
3. Glue last fold of step 2 behind the top fold of step 1.
4. Decorate and have fun with it!! I punched a hold through all layers on the left side and tied a ribbon to keep this closed.
-
The colors used here are cool carribean, certainly celery, and elegant eggplant. I used a whole variety of stamp sets including.... Doodle This, You make me happy, Amazing to zany, Delight in life, and Karen Foster snap stamps. There is also a chipboard tag on the inside stamped with "FUN" in Whimsical Alphabet.
-
Let me know what you think! I'll be drawing a winner tomorrow for this project.... all you have to do is leave a comment to enter!
