As you can tell from most of my cards... I LOVE FLOWERS!!! I was determined to make a manly card today.

I'm still putting chipboard on all my cards this week. The faux binding pieces are chipboard on this one. I stamped them with navy blue liquid chalk, then faux stitched with white gel pen. The chipboard is from Basic Grey (yes I have this on order too - see more about my BG order below). I stamped the tree (Lovely as a Tree - SU) on Olive cardstock, cut it out and popped it up on another piece of olive with dimensionals. There is ribbon threaded through the back of the main image .
-
I added lots of faux stitching to this one, and little dots around the main image. I am so addicted to my white uniball pen - I've almost run through TWO of them since September!
---------------------------------
Card 2
This one started out as a "Hey I wonder if I can paint with Pearl Ex on chipboard?" The answer is yes - and it shows up great! I wasn't crazy about my color scheme I painted with, then I had to search for some paper to match.... so this whole card is a bit of a hodgepodge!
-
I used the Pearl Ex assortment II from Stampin' Up, more specifically the gold, blue and green from that assortment. I also used my new big blossom stamp and stamped off first so my flower is a bit distressed - actually this whole card is a little distressed - or maybe just stressed!! A classic case of if you're not happy with it..... just add more embellishments, and more embellisments, and more.....!!
-
Leave a comment anyways... good or bad! Tomorrow I draw someones name to win one of my projects - I promise it will be a good one!!

Super cards! I'm really loving the color combos you're using!
I love the uniqueness of your cards. The paper choices you use really seem to make them pop. After seeing what you do with chipboard I think I'll have to get some to play with. LOL
Once again....great cards. You have such a way with patterns. BTW, can I add your blog link to mine? My friends and customers deserve to admire your work!
Wow! I love the 3-D look of the tree in the first card! Perfect for a guy's card. Love this!
I LOVE the "hodgepodge-ness" of your card!!! That's what makes it so unique!
These are both gorgeous!!! Love all the faux stitching --it really makes the cards stand out!!
I think it's a very cool card w/ a hippie-vibe (in a good way!). You're making me think I need to challenge myself to use at least one piece of chipboard a day ~ my stash seems to be multiplying before my eyes!
I really love that tree! I have to admit that I have resisted cutting things out... but I'm starting to see that is must be done :-) Your work is beautiful!

I really like this color scheme, it has a good masculine feel about it. Gotta love those gel pens!

Lovin' the color combos too - I really like the flower card you posted here, and the way different bits and pieces overlap. TFS!
GM and happy Wednesday! Michelle, how do you come up with all of these outstanding ideas? the "man" card is great! thanks for sharing!
I like the overall design of the tree card, especially the arrow-shaped elements on the left side.

Your work is awesome! I love checking in on your blog each day to see the beautiful creations you post! Thanks for sharing!
Both cards are great. I really appreciate the more masculine one because I have been trying to push myself to make cards for the guys in my life and it's harder than I thought it would be.
Very nice! My friend has tuned me into your blog and gallery on SCS. We are definitely enjoying your work. Curious - did you use Lumiere to paint with the Pearl Ex? Just had someone show us how to use reinkers with Lumiere too and WOW! very easy and nice colours!
Thanks for sharing!
I love both cards! They have such great flair and uniqueness without being way over the top. Does that make any sense?! Anyways, thanks for sharing!
Wow, two super cards..love both of them!!!

Personally I love the colors (no-i'm not just saying that lol) I think they flow perfectly! The masculine card is great. I too am partial to flowers, so I like that one the best! =)
I am placing a SU order soon (before SAB ends) - white gel pen is on the list! I am ordering all supplies - was wondering what Pearl Ex was. Maybe I'll try some - thanks for sharing your creations!
