Pretty in Pink

Today's challenge on SCS was shadowbox cards. I've never done a shadowbox card before, but there is a link to some really great directions, so it was a breeze.
*
In keeping with my CHIPBOARD CHALLENGE, I used 2 pieces of chipboard on this from the Basic Grey Undressed Chipboard Elements pack. The square board with the circle is from this pack, as well as the flower inside the box. I covered both pieces with Autumn Leaves Foof*a*la paper - this stuff is so delightfuly girly!!
*
The front of the card is sage shadow and it is a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 cardstock, score at 1/2" and 1" on both sides. The back is Regal Rose cardstock, same size and same scoring. Then fold the front and back in opposite directions to give you a big "box" area to work with, and adhere front to back. Okay, you'll want to decorate the inside FIRST before glueing!! I popped up the flower on dimensionals and added 2 cuttlebugged leaves to the design. Real simple!
*
The top layer was first stamped with linen b/g stamp, then I attached the paper covered chipboard and brads. The striped paper is scrap from my girly project from a few days ago... I cut it with decorative scissors for a scalloped edge.
*
Want to join my Chipboard Challenge? Leave a link to your chipboard creations in a comment, or email a link to me and I'll post either the picture or the links over the next few days. I LOVE seeing what people are making!!

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous day and be creative!

This design always looked difficult to achieve to me before, but after seeing your design and others on SCS, I'll have to give it a try! I really like the color scheme you chose - very sweet.
