A Little Bit of Sunshine

I've been on a yellow kick the last couple of days... I don't know if I'm just craving warm weather and sunshine or what... but it's been all about YELLOW for me!

This is another project with a box... it's the 5.5" card box that I've been working on. I have it ALMOST perfected and ready to post... but I need to tweek the size just a bit. Then I'll post the measurements for everyone. This box was made with paper from an Amy Butler K&Company 12x12 paper pad. I bought this pad last spring and still haven't finished it yet - and I'm not a hoarder at all.... it's just that they last forever! The ribbon is wire edged yellow/white gingham from Michael's $1 bin.

The card was made with more of the Amy Butler paper as the background. The flourish frame and large flower are from Fancy Pants "Pollen Dust" set. I stamped the frame in brown ink then used copics to hightlight the flourishes with green and yellow. The flower was stamped with yellow and green chalk in from colorbox. I stamped the sentiment on textured cardstock, then sanded the edges and colored them with copics. It's a REALLY bright project... but I have to admit that I just love it!!

The last card was also made with K&Company cardstock from the "Wild Saffron" line. I don't know if it's new, but I just saw this at Michaels the other day and had to buy a bunch of items from the set. They don't carry this collection at Joann's (where I usually shop), so I feel like I've been missing out!

The big flower is from on the dp, the smaller flowers are stickers from Sandylion. I used a sentiment from MFT.

Thanks for looking... dont' forget about my Box and Bow giveaway on the previous post. I'm choosing a winnner on SUNDAY, so there is still one more day to leave a comment if you haven't already! Thanks for reading!

One LAST thing... many of you have asked about my mutli-ribbon bows. My inspiration for them came from Pam (4Hounds) and she just posted a tutorial on her blog Indigo Studio. Show her some love and go take a peek at the great job she did AND learn all the secrets of ribbon blossoms!

You are one talented girl! I'm sorry to say that I am a paper hoarder, but these two beauties and the previous box set have given me the push to go get my pads and start coordinating some projects. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh I just love these cards! They make me want to run to my craft desk (which I am going to do after I post this actually)! I feel silly asking this but it's about your multi-ribbon look. Do you lay a bunch of ribbon scraps down (stacked kind of) and tie just one piece of ribbon around them all? That's what it looks like and I'm going to try it that way but I thought I'd ask anyways. I love that look.

Michelle - beautiful as always. The yellow is so cheery with this dreary weather. And the yellow and brown is a great combo! Thanks for sharing! Off to look at Indigo Studio website now! Happy new Year!

I saw your yellow box and card on PC and realized that I must have been missing some great creation-reveals, so I had to come and check everything out again--even though I think it was just last week that I was here!! Love your style!!
